What a fantastic weekend for Club Championships!  The weather and the snow created the perfect environment to end a great season of racing for many of our athletes.  We still have one more weekend of programs and coaching and some fun to end our season.

In case you missed the year end video at one of our awards ceremonies or you loved it so much you want to watch it again, it has been posted on our website for your viewing pleasure. Check it our here.

Family Dual Slalom Races

This is an opportunity not to be missed!  Get your skis sharpened and waxed and be ready to show your kids how it is really done.  Go head to head against your little racers this Saturday at 1pm or Sunday at 10am on Smart Alec.  Check with your child's coach in the morning to find out when your little racer will be heading to the race course.  Parents wishing to race in this event must see Nikki in the race office to sign a waiver .  If you have not signed the waiver you will not be permitted in the race course.

Friday Training

Friday training is available this week. Please remember to email Nikki Wait in the race office PRIOR to Thursday morning to register your child. You must include your child's full name and age group (i.e. U10, U12 etc.). It is vital that you register your child ahead of time so that the race office can ensure they have enough coaches on hill.

Please note that all athletes attending Friday training MUST be able to ride the chairlift alone. The coaches stay on the hill while athletes cycle up and down on their own.

March Break Training Days

Training will be available Monday - Thursday during the March Break.  Please sign-up with Nikki Wait in the race office as soon as possible to reserve your spot.  Cost is $60 per day.  We must have a minimum number of athletes registered each day to run the training and all athletes MUST be able to ride the chairlift alone.

Descente Jacket Orders and Clothing Pick-up

This is the LAST weekend to order the Red Descente Team jackets for next season.  Orders will not be accepted after Sunday.  This is also the last weekend to pick-up any of the clothing you may have ordered earlier in the season.  Our volunteer committee will be set up in the Inn at lunch on both Saturday and Sunday.  Don't  miss out!

Abby Award - In Rememberance of Abby

We all love watching our kids learn to ski and race and to see the bright smiles they have on their faces each weekend on the hill having fun with their friends. Unfortunately, this sport can lead to tragic accidents. Abby's family experienced such a tragic event and has started a program to give back to the community that gave their daughter so much joy. Read about Abby's story here and check out what the award is all about. Feel free to purchase a badge in honour of Abby and what it means to love the sport of alpine skiing.

It's Not Over Yet!

Although our regular race season has come to an end, some of our athletes still have some races coming up in the next few weeks.  Please cheer them on and keep doing your snow dances, we aren't quite ready for spring yet!
