Team Lists

Team lists for U12+ are on our site:  go here.

Team lists for U10 racers will be posted on the windows of The Inn on the morning of January 9th and 10th.  Please keep in mind that these lists are not final.  Some changes may happen during the first few weeks of the program once coaches have had a chance to work with our athletes on the snow.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding the teams, please contact the race office via email (Nikki Wait: nwait@bluemountain.ca).

Team Managers

All Teams U12+ will need a manager.  Managers fill an important roll for each team.  The duties of a manager are really quite simple and fun and they truly add to the experience of our athletes and families.

If you are interested in being a manager or assisting please contact Bonnie Campbell at bcampbell@jwracers.ca

At the U10 age group, we also try to have a manager for each team.  If you are interested in being a manager for a U10 team, please contact Peter Skain at pskain@jwracers.ca

Emergency Contact Forms

ALL FAMILIES  -  Emergency Contact Forms must be filled out and returned to Nikki (Race Administrator).  The Emergency Contact Form MUST be filled out by ALL families.  You can fill it out and scan/email it back to Nikki or drop it off at the Race Office.

Nikki can be reached here:  nwait@bluemountain.ca
The Form can be downloaded here: Emergency Contact Form

AOA Registration + Update

ALL RACERS U12 and Up  -  AOA Registration MANDATORY.
Your U12+ kids can not race if they have not registered and paid the AOA fee.

Nikki and Rob are in regular contact with the AOA about the race schedule. The AOA needs to first assess what clubs can make enough snow for gates. As an FYI – all gates must be anchored entirely in snow - no drilling into dirt - there needs to be enough snow for ruts to form without getting down to the dirt. Most clubs may not know if they have enough snow and if they can dedicate the hill space until after this weekend. There is a chance for a tentative schedule (subject to change given snow at various clubs). The AOA has posted on their site that all Div 1 & 2 races are postponed until at least Jan 16/17.

Friday Training

Friday training will start this week on January 8.  Please contact the race office (Nikki Wait: nwait@bluemountain.ca) before Friday to register your child.  Keep in mind that the conditions may still not warrant gates at this time.

Free Ski Tuning Workshop' by SIDECUT

We will be running another Ski Tuning workshop on Saturday January 9th - Weider Room 3 @ 1pm.

Come out and learn how ski tuning is linked to how your children learn skills on snow.  Ski tuning and waxing products will be available for purchase at special prices for those in attendance.

AOA Fitness testing follow-up

The AOA-Jozo-Active Life testing session on December 28th was an overwhelming hit - very well attended by many of our Jozo athletes. Approximately 15 of our Jozo racers participated. Active Life (Sarah Applegarth) specializes in exercise physiology for high performance athletes in their teenage years – with injury prevention being their core focus. Sarah/Active Life did an excellent job of assessing and ‘coaching’ our kids about their strengths and areas for development. Time well spent!
